The Djs were the backbone of Vazaleen. The packed dance floor was whipped up by the go go dancers Johnny, Mikey and Lorraine. Rawbert spun rare post punk, then came the host and band followed by Miss Barbara Fisch spinning metal, punk and hip hop. Will Munro ended the night with electro, mash ups, glam and punk. An unofficial playlist began to emerge. David Bowie and Iggy Pop recast as lovers, Joan Jett and Peaches a love affair across a generation. Kim Wilde’s “Kids In America” played almost every party.
